THE HERB LADY TO BE GUEST ON CULINARY CONFESSIONS RADIO PROGRAM.

MESA, ARIZONA -- November 3, 2005 -- At 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, November 30, 2005, Catherine "The Herb Lady," will be a special in-studio guest on the radio show, "Culinary Confessions with Kim and Don," from studios in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The Herb Lady will be answering questions and discussing her new book "Edible Landscaping in the Desert Southwest: Wheelbarrow to Plate."

While many think of gardening in the desert or the hotter climates of USDA Zone 9 and above as a challenge, The Herb Lady has put together an offering for beginners, that includes a month-by- month calendar, landscaping themes, gardening tips, and recipes, all to encourage gardeners to create a haven from life's hectic pace.

What they are saying about the book:

"Just the monthly calendar alone...is worth the price of the book. Highly recommended." --Kim Stone, Horticultural Specialist, Boyce Thompson Arboretum.

"Culinary Confessions" is a lively show heard Monday thru Friday on Independent 1310 KXAM and is the longest continually running radio restaurant and food show in the valley, in their tenth season.

The call-in show features everything about food, restaurants, and good eating. Hosted by local food personalities, Kim Laurie and Don Sandler, Culinary Confessions boasts that "the listeners are the food critics!" Callers compete for prizes by answering food trivia questions, "Food Quote of the Day," and "Survey Question".

This popular radio show also features interviews with celebrity chefs, cookbook authors, and other local and national food celebrities. It's both entertaining, and informative, and is often broadcast from remote locations, such as local restaurants and culinary events.

Herbs 2 U was founded to educate and inform folks on gardening with herbs, edible flowers and other edible plants, and then bringing those useful and flavorful plants into the kitchen and creating mouthwatering meals. The Herb Lady's column appears monthly in the East Valley Tribune, and her classes on growing and using edible herbs and flowers are offered in locations around the Valley of the Sun, including the Desert Botanical Garden and Boyce Thompson Arboretum.
